Event Overview


This session provides small business owners with essential, practical knowledge to confidently navigate the full federal contract lifecycle from proposal development to contract performance and closeout. Designed for emerging and growing contractors, the presentation breaks down the fundamentals of federal procurement and equips participants with the tools needed to strengthen competitiveness and improve performance.

Attendees will gain a solid understanding of procurement basics, including how to interpret RFQs and RFPs, structure a compliant proposal, address evaluation criteria, and follow best practices for timely, accurate submission. The training also delivers critical insight into managing contract modifications and change orders, emphasizing how to recognize scope changes, document impacts, request approvals, and avoid common mistakes that can affect cost, schedule, or performance.

In addition, the session highlights essential business readiness requirements such as mandatory registrations, certifications, and key compliance considerations. With a focus on disciplined preparation, clear documentation, and strategic execution, this event empowers small businesses to position themselves for success throughout the federal contracting lifecycle.
